Adding inventory to WholeCell by quantity is the best method when you have a group of similar devices and you don't have their ESNs or a spreadsheet to upload.

There are five steps:

  1. Quantity

  2. Device

  3. Functionality

  4. Grade

  5. Review

First, go to the purchase order that you received the device(s) on and click the + button. Then choose 'Add Inventory via ESN/Quantity'.

Now, click on Quantity at the top of the page:

1. Quantity

Enter the number of devices you are adding.

2. Device

Select the device's manufacturer, model, variant, and other attributes in the device section menu:

Here we've chosen an Apple iPhone 7 A1660 128GB Black Verizon.

If you can't find a record for the model you're adding, click the Add a new Product link:

This will allow you to add a new product record to your Device Catalog, which you can manage in your Product Catalog.

3. Functionality

In WholeCell we describe a device's functional condition with Damage Conditions. A device is either Fully Functional (with no damage conditions), or it may have any number of conditions that you can manage in Product Catalog > Damage Conditions.

When you click on Damaged, a list of available conditions will drop down.  Choose whichever conditions are appropriate for the device(s) you're adding:

4. Grade

Choose whichever grade suits the device(s) you're adding by clicking on the appropriate box.  Grades can be managed in Product Catalog > Grades.

5. Review

Look over the details in the review box.  You can add an internal note which will appear on the specific pages for each inventory item.

If everything is accurate, click Save.

Done!

Once saved you'll be able to print inventory labels and choose between adding more inventory to the PO, or going back to view the PO itself 🎉
