Inventory Reports allow you to filter the inventory in your WholeCell account and display the results however you want.  You can use reports internally for inventory tracking, or make them public to share your current inventory with customers.

There are five important things to know about inventory reports:

  • Up-to-date

  • Access

  • Display

  • Filters

  • Columns

Up-to-date

Inventory reports update as your inventory is added and edited in WholeCell.  They reflect your inventory at that very moment in time in your WholeCell account.

To save a report from a specific day, click the Download button to download a CSV from the report page.

Access

If you choose "Make Public" when creating your inventory report, the report will be published with a link that you can share with anyone.  Whoever you give the link to will be able to see a public view of that report without signing into your WholeCell account.

Make sure to review your public reports before sharing their links.  You may not want to share your sale prices on sold inventory items with your customers!

Display

When creating a report, you choose if you want to display your inventory Individually or Grouped.

On Individual reports, each row represents a single, unique inventory item. On Grouped reports, inventory items will be grouped by the attributes you select, and you can show the quantity if desired.

Filters

Filters allow you to narrow your report to showing only specific devices.  You can filter for:

  • Device (Manufacturer, Model, Variant, Network, Capacity, Color)

  • Functionality

  • Grade

  • Status

  • Locations

Device
The above report is showing Apple iPhone 6 devices with either the A1549 or A1586 variants. It will include those devices from any networks, with any capacities, and of any colors.

Functionality & Grade
The report will include both functional and damaged iPhone 6, but only units that are  'A Grade', 'B Grade', or 'C Grade'.

Status
This report will only show iPhone 6 with the status of 'Available', or 'Unavailable'.

Columns

Choosing the columns in a report gives you the ultimate power over the inventory you're displaying.

Don't want to separate devices based on their Variant or Color?  No problem. Uncheck those Device Attributes and the inventory items on this report will be shown without those attributes.

The report based on this screenshot looks like this in our demo account:
